Things We Wish Someone Would've Told Us About Postpartum Life
The Sleep Deprivation Is Killer
"No one told me my baby wouldn't sleep through the night. I was in the hospital for four days after giving birth due to anemia. My daughter was choking on her spit-up so she was relegated to the nursery. No one told me she spent all night crying in there. We went home on day five and said goodnight to the baby. We then proceeded to spend the next six months in a depressed stupor over the lack of sleep. It was a complete shock." - Melanie D.
