It Will Be Important To Prioritize Yourself
"There is so much emphasis on baby clothes, baby gear, baby whatever, and hardly any on a mother's postpartum experience. The best thing for a baby and family is a mother who is feeling healthy and supported as much as possible. Read up on postpartum traditions around the world and see what resonates with you and what might work in your own life in terms of care, rest, nutrition, etc. Don't be afraid to set boundaries around visits, family, time, and what you can realistically handle, both physically and emotionally. Now is a time to be selfish for the sake of you and your baby, and you shouldn’t feel bad about it." - Carrie M.
