"I don't think I realized how boring the postpartum period was going to be. I knew I'd need to recover, but I felt stuck at home all the time. With my first, we brought her home in the middle of a heat wave, so we were restricted to the one room in the house that had air conditioning. With my second, it was such a hassle to get two kids out the door that I just stayed home with the baby a lot.
